James R. Audiss

Jim was destined to be in the development and construction business. His grandfather founded American Lumber Co. in 1927 and, together with his brother Mike, they managed the material retail supplier for 10 years, growing it to a $30 million dollar business before they sold it in 1999. While serving as its president for over 10 years, Jim polished his business acumen and developed an “on-the-side” hobby of building high-end custom homes.

This hobby became the passion that was the impetus for EEI. Jim’s love for turning nothing into something lasting and beautiful gave him great satisfaction.

Like all the EEI partners, Jim was born and raised in Colorado. He studied business management at Arizona State University. Jim also enjoys the balance between his career and spending quality time with his family. His interests include golfing, boating, skiing, fishing, and sporting events. He is also a fine-wine enthusiast.
